book of your choice

We will not be meeting in December because of the library’s winter hours (10am to 6pm).

Mark your 2017 calendars for

 Wednesday, January 18 at 6pm.

Come ready to discuss a book of your choice.

During the month of December you can read anything you want. If you get a book as a gift, have a book on your wish list,
or want to reread a favorite. It’s up to you!
Just come ready to give a little review on the book you have chosen.

I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season!

See you next year- Becky

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking-Glass

For October we are reading Lewis Carrol's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking-Glass." This well know classic is on the "banned books" list and October is the month we celebrate our freedom to read by highlighting a banned book. As you read I want to know your thoughts on if you think this book should be "banned."
Some of the reasons it made this list:
1. References drug use.
2. China challenged it in 1931 because it features talking animals which puts them at the same level as humans.
