Molly is in foster care and has made a few bad decisions therefore she needs to do 50 hours of community service. She is going to help Vivian (a lady in her 90's) clean out her attic. Molly and Vivian soon become friends as they realize that they are very similar. Vivian was one of the orphans that was brought out west on the orphan train in the 1920's.
