Story of how two women cope during WWII. Both without their families find a safe place in a circus. They need each other to survive. Astrid being a Jewish aerialist and the Noa who is raising a young Jewish baby. The baby is a boy that she saved from a rail car that was filled with babies headed to a concentration camp. She was able to save him from the fate of a camp and now she will do anything to keep him safe. Even learn the how to be an aerialist.
