Book discussion October 18 at 6pm

We always celebrate Banned Book Week by reading a book that has been banned or challenged. "A Wrinkle in Time." has been on the list every decade from the time it was published in the 60's. Yet, it is the winner of the 1963  Newbery and has never been out of print. Oddly enough it has been accused of being both too religious and anti-Christian.

MPL Recipe Box

All recipes were delicious!

The cooking book group was very successful this month. Instead of picking our recipies from a selected cookbook our theme was to "Choose a recipe you found online." You know the ones that you found on Pinterest or Facebook and have wanted to try but haven't yet.

Recipes brought:

¨ Mom’s Zucchini Bread

¨ Ritzy Chicken Casserole

¨ Kool-Aid Pie
